This raw milk Vacherin is a unique piece and comes from Savoie.
Circled with a piece of spruce so the cheese wouldn’t break when becoming creamy, it does remind the woody taste of Mont d’Or for but also the delicate nuttiness of Reblochon.
Yes, this cheese is also very close to Reblochon, and also produced up high in the mountains, with is why the paste is very shiny !
Alike Reblochon it is available all year through, but so much tastier in Summer time !!
Produced with raw cow’s milk.
